Followers Are Not Customers. Stop Acting Like They Are!

Okay, hear me out.

You don’t own your followers.
Not on LinkedIn. Not on Instagram. Not even Facebook.

Let me break it down for you..

When you show up online — people follow you.

Maybe for your content or
Maybe for no reason at all.

That doesn’t mean they’re ready to buy.

They’re not automatically your audience.
And definitely not your community.

The mistake I see my clients (and other creators) making:

They confuse followers with warm leads.
They post, promote, pitch — and then get disappointed when no one converts.

Listen,

When I started in 2021, I built my community by sharing my pets, my progress, my fitness, my freelance wins, prospecting, my thoughts.

This helped people to relate and trust me ..

So when I dropped my first paid digital product — an ebook —
I DMed my most active audience one day and guess what??
I sold 12 copies that day.

Another example I can think of is when I hosted my first ever solo live LinkedIn event and I had 500 people on a single call. Literally, no push, no teasers!

Why?
Because I treated my followers like a community. And I built something for them. I NURTURED them.

When you’re active on social media, you should know:

And yes — you can have more than one audience.

For instance, I serve both freelancers and software agency owners.
I tailor my messaging accordingly
I nurture each audience differently.

So the purpose of this video is to make you understand:

If you want to monetize your audience, you have to first build a community.

Build a space they belong to, not just a page they follow.

Because when you’re ready to launch your offers,
They’ll already be warmed up and waiting.

That’s how you sell without sounding salesy.
That’s how you turn followers into buyers.
That’s how you own the game, even if you don’t own the platform.

This is how you stop being ignored, and start being remembered!!

Ciao!!!
